Phonological Disorders: Rule-based errors that effect more than one sound (e.g. fronting, stopping, cluster reduction)
Motor-based Speech Sound Disorders: Neurologically based-difficulty coordinating speech sound movements (e.g. childhood apraxia of speech)
Language Delays & Disorders
Vocabulary and Semantics: Words, word meanings, and the relationships between words
Syntax and Morphology: Grammar, how our sentences are put together, and word endings that change the meaning of our words (e.g. past tense, plurals)
Language Processing: Critical thinking, making predictions, drawing inferences, understanding non-literal language

Friendship Skills: Initiating, maintaining, and end a conversation, making comments, apologizing, recognizing friend versus non-friend behaviors

Services described above are available for children aged 3-18 years old.
For children aged birth-36 months (3 years), Volmer Speech Therapy partners with Alta California Regional Center (ACRC) to provide speech-language services. Through ACRC’s Early Start program, families can receive quality service in their natural environment and support in connecting to other beneficial resources in their local area.
